Hotel B, your gateway to explore Belgium

Do you like nature? Walk in the forest and the green fields surrounding our hotel.  Cycle along the water of the river Scheldt. You will have an outstanding ride, as the route used to be a towpath along the river and leads you through wetlands, farmlands and woods.  Feel like a real Flandrien.  Signposted routes, thematic routes and a few long-distance cycle routes cross our region.

Hotel Boskapelhoeve is very well located, literally embraced by the forest with several paths for walking, running or cycling.

Hotel Boskapelhoeve  provides a comfortable gateway to uncover the hidden treasures of Belgium’s past and present.

Belgium has not been spared the horror of Nazism and its concentration camps.

The fort of Liezele is without doubt one of the best conserved forts of the fortified area of Antwerp. It was built in 1914 and withstood the ravages of two world wars. Today it is a historical gem located amid a natural preserve. A visit to Fort Liezele is a trip back through time, to the days of August 1914 and May 1940.

The fortress of Breendonk is a moving and striking example. It is one of the best conserved camps in Europe.  The fortress has been renovated with the utmost respect for the historical truth. During the gripping visit you will discover the yard where the prisoners had to pass their days in forced hard labour, the torture room, the showers, the execution spot, the prisoners cells….

Where did the time go when each village had its own brewery? This is still the case in Buggenhout & the surrounding villages. Large & small family brewers, who keep the beer culture alive, but also “young” brewers who ensure innovation.

Don’t forget to treat yourself to one of the many regional beers.
